Often in staging for sale, less is more.
The sellers of this condo had many wonderful collectibles and artwork that were displayed throughout their home…. But this was a classic example of why stagers say, “We live in our homes one way, but sell them another way.” Buyers simply couldn’t see themselves in the home with the sellers’ very personal stamp on it.
A cohesive flow of colors was established throughout the home, and artwork and accessories were added where they would have the most impact (drawing buyers’ attention to the main features of each room instead of away from them). After receiving an offer in February, the seller understood why staging was necessary. “I believe that your staging of my condo played a large role in achieving a sale in this terrible real estate market,” he said.
